Scatter Creek Ford Dispersed Campsite (Remote Forest Crossing)

The Setup: A remote, dispersed campsite reached via a rough forest road requiring a shallow water crossing at Scatter Creek (approx. ~1 foot deep during conditions described). Open, fairly level camping area with natural forest surroundings.

Amenities: None.

The Highlights: Very scenic and quiet forest setting with wildlife activity (notably deer in camp). Strong sense of isolation and natural immersion. Wide open sky and forest edges make it suitable for basic dispersed camping and short stays.

Connectivity:

No cell service

Access Notes: Road conditions are challenging compared to typical forest routes, with a creek ford required at Scatter Creek. Passable in dry-season conditions with caution; not suitable during high water. Nearest services include fuel at the Shell in the Salmon la Sac area and limited supplies (including block ice) at Ronald General Store in Ronald. Suitable for capable vehicles and prepared campers only.
