Riverside Dispersed Spot Across from Dungeness Forks Campground

The Setup: A dispersed campsite located off Palo Alto Road, continuing down the FS road toward Dungeness Forks Campground. The spot is on the left just before the bridge, directly across from the established campground along the river.

Amenities: Primitive riverside pull-off with no facilities. The road down can be a bit bumpy and becomes moderately steep near the bottom but remains manageable. The site itself is informal and unmaintained, with no designated infrastructure.

The Highlights: Excellent river access directly across from the campground, offering a peaceful alternative to paid camping. Very little traffic on the road, especially outside peak times. During the visit, conditions were sunny and around 60°F, making for a comfortable stay by the water.
