The Setup: Large undeveloped lakeside camping area located ~10 miles north of Las Animas along a well-maintained gravel county road. Open shoreline with no designated campsites.

Access Notes: Suitable for all vehicle types and RVs due to easy gravel road access and open terrain. However, the site is completely exposed with no windbreaks or shade—prepare for strong sun, wind, and temperature swings. A Colorado state fishing/hunting or land use pass is required; day passes are available for non-residents.
