Johnson Creek Saddle Campsite above Lake Chelan
The Setup: Remote dispersed campsite located high in the Ponderosa pine parkland above Lake Chelan, reached via Johnson Creek Rd with final access on spur 227 off FS 5300.
Amenities: Primitive site with a couple of level pull-offs suitable for vehicle camping or tents. No formal facilities or services.
The Highlights: Quiet, high-elevation forest setting with expansive mountain and ridge views (though not of the lake itself). Very remote feel with minimal traffic and strong solitude once at the saddle.
Connectivity: Not specified.
Access Notes: Steady climb on forest road for several miles. The final spur is rough and best suited for high-clearance 2WD or off-road trailers; standard RVs and low-clearance vehicles are not recommended.
