Multiple dispersed pullouts nearby – Several additional camping spots can be found farther along the dirt road.
Excellent sunset and sunrise scenery – Gorgeous elevated views over the lake and surrounding mountains.
Nearby fishing access – Small trout can be caught near the railroad bridge at the base of the hill.
Very windy and exposed – Open terrain creates strong wind conditions, especially overnight.
Campfires not recommended – Wind exposure makes fires risky despite the presence of existing pullouts.
Remote peaceful atmosphere – Quiet and scenic place to spend the night overlooking the water.
Pack out trash encouraged – Area has experienced illegal dumping, and visitors are encouraged to help keep the site clean.
