Chumstick Highway Forest Pull-Off Camps (Plain–Lake Wenatchee Corridor)
The Setup: Dispersed dirt-road camping area with multiple flat pull-offs along the forested sections of Chumstick Highway between Plain and Lake Wenatchee. Sites are scattered rather than centralized, offering flexible stopping points.
Amenities: Primitive Forest Service land with no facilities. Leave-no-trace area; no fires requested to help keep the site open.
The Highlights: Quiet forest setting with soft understory vegetation (including a carpet of Calamagrostis grass). Generally low mosquito presence due to distance from water. Peaceful atmosphere with minimal development and light use.
Connectivity:
A couple bars of mobile data (carrier not specified)
Access Notes: Best suited for smaller vehicles with reasonable clearance. A Toyota Sienna-type vehicle can navigate the road without issue. Limited views but very calm and uncrowded conditions
