Buffalo Pass Dispersed Pull-Off Campsite (CR 38 Corridor)

The Setup: Small dispersed pull-off campsite along Buffalo Pass Road (County Road 38), accessed via a short right turn and left veer off the main gravel route. One of many informal camping spots scattered along the pass.

Established fire ring (at nearby/forward site)

The Highlights: Scenic mountain corridor camping with frequent dispersed pull-offs and already-occupied nearby sites. Beautiful drive with easy access to multiple camping options and close proximity to both Steamboat Springs and Strawberry Park Hot Springs.

Gravel road with consistent washboard sections
Generally passable in most passenger cars, but slower travel required
Multiple dispersed campsites along Buffalo Pass corridor
Light road and camper noise possible, especially on weekends
Suitable for vans, trucks, and small campers
Approx. 25 min to Steamboat Springs and ~30 min to Strawberry Park Hot Springs
Scenic forested drive with many informal camping opportunities throughout the pass
